SkyTab KDS v1.33 — Coming Thursday, January 15th

We’re deploying SkyTab KDS v1.33 as a required update on Thursday, January 15th, 2026. This release improves ticket clarity and alignment with POS/printed slips, and includes several important fixes.

Improvements

• Consistent modifier order: KDS now displays modifiers and nested modifiers in the same order as POS and printed slips, ensuring predictable prep—even when seat grouping is involved.

• Optional ticket display tweak: You can hide group/department names on KDS tickets while keeping the blue grouping band. (Available by request—contact Support to enable.)

Bug Fixes

• Bilingual modifier wrapping: Fixed an issue where tickets with long bilingual (English/Chinese) modifier names didn’t wrap properly across columns, which could hide item/modifier details.

• Merge screen filter: Corrected the Merge view to show only tickets sharing the same ticket ID.

• Special Requests scaling: Special Requests text now scales correctly when you adjust the KDS app text size.

What to expect

• The update will be deployed the morning of January 15th. Please be sure to accept the update on all KDS devices.

• To ensure a smooth update, please keep KDS devices powered on and connected overnight.
