As part of our initiative to close the gap between handhelds and RPOS and improve the overall experience of the handhelds, the SpotOn Serve team is pleased to release SOS 4.2 which includes activating, reloading, and checking balance of gift cards. You can sell or check the balance of gift cards from both ticket commands and show commands.  Additionally, SpotOn Serve now supports loyalty deal redemptions.

What’s New

Gift Cards

SpotOn Serve will be able to sell, reload and check the balance of gift cards on SOS.

Preconditions>Discount Gift Cards>Job Positions / Order Management> Allows gift card discounting

To activate a gift card:

• choose option from User commands or select Gift Card from Order command

• Swipe GC or enter card number manually

• pop up with inactive card will be shown

• press Activate

• on Activate Gift Card screen enter the amount

• press confirmation button

Adding Funds:

• choose option from User commands or select Gift Card from Order command

• Swipe GC or enter card number manually

• Add Funds pop up will be shown 

• Enter the amount of funds in the next step and confirm  

Deals

SpotOn Serve will allow customers to be able to redeem deals after logging in to loyalty. 

To redeem a deal:

• Enter Loyalty program page

• Choose a deal 

• Pop up with redeem option will be shown 

• On a new screen it will be shown Reward Redeemed

Bug Fixes

• ERT 7563 - Improves provisioning time of stations 

• ERT 7529 - Fixes negative balance pop up on A920 when processing a payment
