As part of our initiative to close the gap between handhelds and RPOS and improve the overall experience of the handhelds, the SpotOn Serve team is pleased to release SOS 4.3.1 which includes adjusting tips. Merchants can now adjust tips for open and closed orders from the Total Summary screen and from the Adjust tips Show Commands. 

Adjust Tips 

Implemented as part of the initiative to close the gap with the restaurant POS.

SpotOn Serve enables users to adjust tips from Total Summary or User commands. 

BOH Preconditions>Job Positions / Order Management>Adjust Other tips
BOH Preconditions>Station > Settings > Credit Card Signature Screen > enabled
BOH Preconditions>Payment > Tippable > enabled


To adjust tips on Total Summary:

  • Enter order and go to Total Summary 

  • Tap on payment and select Adjust tip from the header to edit  

  • Fill in the tip or total amount 

  • If needed - provide authorization

To adjust tips from User commands:

  • From user commands select Adjust tips 

  • Orders will be displayed in 3 sections 

    • View all 

    • Adjusted 

    • Not adjusted 

  • Select appropriate sorting

  • Search for an order payment or select displayed one

  • Fill in the tip and total amount on adjust tip screen

  • If needed - provide authorization

Bug Fixes

  • ERT-7500 - Fixed QR tables not being visible on the A77 device 

  • ERT-7488 - Fixed issue with viewing or opening other tables when using Manage Teams
