Content: Reopen Tabs, Scan Employee Badge for Login and Manager Approvals, Pay Tab Balance with Original Auth, Bug Fixes


Feature Updates:

  • Added Reopen Tabs functionality

    • Tabs can now be reopened with manager approval by tapping the “Reopen Tab” button in the order details screen under the following conditions:

      • The tab has been closed on the POS but is not yet settled (i.e. in “Completion Pending” state) 

      • If the tab has been synced to the database, it can only be reopened from an online device

      • If the tab was created on an offline device and has not yet been synced to the database, it can only be reopened on the originating the device 

    • When reopening a tab, the existing gratuity will be removed and must be added when re-closing the tab

    • Reopened tabs will move from the “Completion Pending” state to either “Tabbed” (for tabs with an online auth) or “Tabbed Offline” (for tabs with an offline auth)

    • Reopened tabs will appear under open tabs in the orders list

    • All existing card authorizations will persist on reopened tabs and will be available in the tenders list when re-closing the tab

      • If there is an existing card authorization on a reopened tab, it will be incrementally authorized for any additional line items or gratuity that are added beyond the original authorization amount after reopening 

    • All non-card payments (Ticket, Gift Card, QR Pay, Cash, Custom Tender) applied when closing a tab will automatically be voided/refunded when reopening the tab 

      • Note: When refunding/voiding a scan tender containing a limited use affiliation discount, the fan will not receive the discount back on their loyalty account after the tab is reopened

    • If one or more manual discounts was applied to a tab when closing, the same manual discounts will be persisted on the tab after reopening, and will be applied when re-closing if still applicable

  • Employee badges containing a Barcode or QR Code may now be scanned from a USB-connected Zebra scanner or A800 camera scanner to login and/or approve manager functions

    • Barcodes and QR codes should be generated utilizing the employee’s External ID which must be numeric only

      • Note: Existing attendants created with an automatically generated UUID for the External ID will need to be updated with a numeric External ID 

    • If a device detects an externally connected scanner, it will automatically be activated when navigating to to the PIN screen

    • To scan from an A800, the user may tap the Scan button in the bottom left of the keypad to activate the scanner (camera permissions must be granted in the Android settings)

  • When a card is authorized to start a tab, the authorized card will now be available to select in the tender list if there is balance due after closing the tab to Ticket, Gift Card or QR Pay

  • Orders in a “Submitted” state with a corresponding payment transaction in LTM will now be updated to “Completed” during the sync process on the POS, instead of waiting for the LTM job to run at 7am the following day

  • Handheld devices are now prevented from being configured to CFD mode

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue on CFD where the order was not being updated with the tip amount prior to initiating the card reader

  • Fixed an issue where the user could navigate to the menu and place an order while the offline sync was in progress

  • Fixed an issue where configuring a custom tender button name for QR Pay with VN Wallet would cause orders to hang when utilizing the tender to close the order

  • Fixed an issue where the service charge was not being being recalculated when adding new line items while device was offline

  • Fixed an issue where a card payment transaction was being attached to orders when moving to a Cancelled state

  • Fixed an issue on CFD where an offline tab could not be closed to a ticket containing a discount

  • Fixed an issue where orders would hang when attempting to close to any tender after applying a fixed customer tender while device was offline
