QS POS 2.37.12-qs

Feature Updates:

• Tabs functionality is now supported on Quick Service POS [Quick Service Tabs User Guide]

  • Allows an attendant to open a tab with or without a credit card, add items, void items and close the tab to the existing card or to a new payment method when ready to checkout 

  • Tabs can be enabled in an existing location/revenue center without the need for a separate Full Service application. Converting from Full Service to Quick Service Tabs will allow you to take credit card payments offline and close tabs to all available loyalty and scan tenders, including QR Pay, Ticket and Gift Card. 

  • Refer to the Quick Service Tabs User Guide for steps on converting your POS devices

  • Note: Use of Tabs on the Customer Facing Display (L1400 + A3700) requires a minimum APK version of 2.17.0 

• Declined offline transactions can now be automatically cleared from the card reader following the completion of the batch upload of offline transactions. This will prevent looping voids of declined transactions

  • Note: This requires a minimum APK version of 2.17.0 and must be configured by VN. Please contact VN Support or your Account Manager to enable this functionality

• There is now an “All Orders” button at the top of the cart to easily navigate to the orders list

• The user will now be prompted for a manager PIN when applying a custom tender that is configured to require manager approval

  • This functionality is disabled by default. To enable for an existing custom tender, go to Canopy 2.0 > Settings > Custom Tenders > select custom tender > toggle “Require Manager PIN” to ON > Save

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed an issue where Manager PINs were not being recognized when updating a device config, performing a refund, or clearing orders while in Kiosk mode

• Fixed an issue where the POS App would sometimes fail to reload on a fresh install or when syncing network data

APK 2.17.0

• Fixed an issue where cloud printing would not work with printers previously configured in Canopy 1.0

• Fixed an issue where items containing some special characters did not print on receipts
