Release Version: 1.5
Audience: Retail
Client Facing: Yes
Content: Retail Account Self-Serve Set Up flow

Feature Update [New]:

Retail Account Set Up

This release is dedicated to SpotOn Retail account self-serve set up flow. This is a completely new flow that enhances clients' onboarding experience by providing a resourceful tool that helps SpotOn Retail Grow and Premium clients easily configure basic settings related to their business.

The client can start the setup process from the onboarding dashboard with the “Go to My Catalog” CTA.

Clients will walk through the account setup flow step-by-step. Information that has already been added in Hub or Dashboard will be pre-filled, and clients can make changes if desired.

First, they will be able to select or update what they offer - products, services, or both.

After that, they’ll specify where they offer their services - in-store, online, or both.

In the next step, clients will be able to configure their sales tax - or taxes if there are more than one - and choose whether to apply the tax to newly added products or/and services.

Finally, clients can set or update their business hours. This step offers the flexibility to copy hours across the week, select open and closed days, and set more than one open period in a single day.

Once the setup is completed, the client can choose whether they want to continue to catalog setup or navigate to the Retail Hub page.

Retail Hub Page

Retail Hub page is a completely refreshed settings page. At the top of the page is the option to display fully customizable banners that can be managed from the Django admin.

Below the banners is a Tutorials section, where merchants can educate themselves on how to use their SpotOn hardware and software the most effectively. The tiles can launch video modals, kick off interactive Intercom product tours that give a user in-app walkthroughs, or open a link, such as a Knowledge Base article and are also managed via Django admin.

During the first 90 days of the customer journey, storefront setup tiles help merchants to see which settings are completed and which are outstanding.

Django Admin - Manage Retail Settings

Retail Hub settings can be flexibly configured in the Django Admin tool

Help center tiles are fully customizable.

Banners also can be configured in detail.

It is also possible to specify the audience, type of product, and other configs for banner display.
