These are Pre-Release notes with the anticipated contents of a release scheduled for May 28, 2025. There is potential for changes in the scope and timing of the release. We will send final release notes upon completion of the release.
Feature Updates:
Passthrough tokens are now supported, allowing operators to switch devices between MIDs without contacting SkyTab Venue Support to update the device tokens
Requires enablement for each organization
Contact SkyTab Venue Support or your Account Manager to enable this functionality
Once enabled, the token set on the menu via the Merchant will be used for the card present payment transaction and will override the device token set in Paxstore.
It is imperative that Merchants are comprehensively and accurately set on all of your menus in Canopy 2.0 – refer to Settings - Merchants for guidance on setting merchants on your menus
This enhancement will reduce reconciliation issues caused by mismatched MIDs on devices and menus

Auto-printing of receipts can now be enabled at the device level on concessions POS devices with a receipt printer configured
To configure: Hamburger menu > Configuration > Select Menu > Select Close Tab Method > Configure Receipt Printer > Receipt Printer Settings
Auto-Print will be disabled by default
The 'Print 2 Copies' option will be activated after enabling Auto-Print
The Auto-Print configuration will persist until the POS app data is cleared
The user can select whether to auto-print 1 or 2 copies of the receipt
Existing functionality of manual receipt printing will remain intact regardless of the Auto-Print configuration
Kiosk barcode scanning self-checkout is now supported on single-menu Kiosks
Requires a compatible Zebra USB scanner
A knowledge base article will be published and linked in the final release notes with instructions for configuring items and devices for self-checkout functionality
Manager-restricted price adjustments are now supported on Concessions POS for items in the cart or an open tab
To adjust an item price
From the cart for a new order or service round, or order details for an open tab, tap an item to open the Item Details drawer
Tap the 'Adjust' button next to the item price
Enter the desired price > tap Adjust
Enter valid Manager PIN
All like items in the order will have their price adjusted. If the same item is subsequently added to a tab following a price adjustment, then it would be added at the original price and the attendant would need to do another price adjustment for the newly added item(s)
Orders in Submitted or Authorization Failed state will now be moved to Cancelled state when the cart is cleared prior to completing the order
Made order/invoice number assignment more reliable, reducing the occurrences of duplicated and skipped order/invoice numbers
A new order/invoice number will now be assigned to the next order after clearing the cart anytime during the ordering flow
Various CFD enhancements:
When tipping and service charge are disabled, the guest-facing confirmation screen will now be skipped; BroadPOS will open immediately upon the attendant selecting Card tender
When paying with a scan tender, the remaining ticket or gift card balance will now be displayed on the guest-facing receipt screen
When receipt printing is enabled, there is now a Print Receipt button on the attendant facing “Customer Viewing Receipt” screen, allowing the attendant to initiate a receipt print
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an intermittent issue where the receipt sometimes contained incorrect totals or items
Fixed an intermittent issue where gratuity added to back bar tabs was not being included in the settlement amount of the payment
Fixed an issue where cart updates made prior to the payment were not always accurately reflected on the final order
