These are Pre-Release notes with the anticipated contents of a release scheduled for the week of July 29. There is potential for changes in the scope of the release. We will send final release notes following completion of the release.
Feature Updates:
Tabs functionality is now supported on Quick Service POS
Allows an attendant to open a tab with or without a credit card, add items, void items and close the tab to the existing card or to a new payment method when ready to checkout
Tabs can be enabled in an existing location/revenue center without the need for a separate Full Service application. Converting from Full Service to Quick Service Tabs will allow you to take credit card payments offline and close tabs to all available loyalty and scan tenders, including QR Pay, Ticket and Gift Card.
Note: Use of Tabs on the Customer Facing Display (L1400 + A3700) requires an upgrade to APK 2.17
Declined offline transactions will now be automatically cleared from the card reader following the completion of the batch upload of offline transactions. This will prevent looping void transaction attempts of lingering offline declines
Note: This enhancement requires configuration and an upgrade to APK 2.17. Please contact VN Support or your Account Manager to enable this functionality
There is now an “All Orders” button at the top of the cart to easily navigate to the orders list
The following enhancements require APK 2.17+
Added support for Tabs functionality on Customer Facing Display
Added support for clearing declined offline transactions from the card reader following the completion of the batch upload of offline transactions
Cardholder name and tab name will no longer be printed on receipts
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where Manager PINs were not being recognized when updating a device config, performing a refund, or clearing orders while in Kiosk mode
Fixed an issue where the POS App would sometimes fail to reload on a fresh install or when syncing network data
The following bug fixes require APK 2.17+
Fixed an issue where the Mastercard animation would appear for declined transactions
Fixed an issue where the status bar and navigation bar would sometimes appear when not intended and cause the app crash
Fixed an issue where cloud printing would not work with printers previously configured in Canopy 1.0
Fixed an issue where items containing some special characters did not print on receipts
