The primary purpose of this release is to introduce minor improvements and deliver some bug fixes.

Feature updates:

• With this release, Interact X now supports new ELO scanners (Model: Edge Connect SE4720).

  • This new model can be used in all supported scan actions for Interact X - scanning items, scanning loyalty codes (when using a loyalty tender type) and scanning orders (when running with Pay At Cashier).

• This release introduces additional logging for the application, especially around navigation flow, Webview Modal usage and offline recovery (disconnects and reconnects).

• When Interact X is set to use External Discounts (EER), the app will immediately launch the EER modal when the guest taps the Apply Discounts button.

• With this release, Interact X now supports the Kiosk Theme Custom Copy for the "Next" button.

• This release includes the IX support for Check Sync Auto Configuration

• This build introduces an additional warning message, displayed at login if the terminal is set to use Pay At Cashier but Check Sync is not properly configured. User are still able to login (but Pay At Cashier will be unavailable).

  

Bug fixes:

• Check Sync IP Address modal in the Diagnostics screen no longer includes “ws://” in the IP field.

  

• IX now supports custom text for the Next Button). Next Button reverts to Default text (Next) when the Custom Text is left blank - field is available in Connect at Themes > Custom Copy.

• Interact X now handles order submission correctly when using KDSX, avoiding Android Not Responding errors.

Known limitations:

• When operating with a single Tender Type enabled, Interact X will not prompt the guest for a payment amount.

• Order Types are not supported when running with Checks in Connect Mode.

  • If the location is setup to use order types and the accounts/roles are using Checks, the orders will not show on KDS.

• Interact X needs to be running in Connect Mode if customer wants to allow guests to receive Order Status notifications (Order In Progress, Order Completed) from Connect.

• When changing the order status on a Vendor KDS, the corresponding Subvendor KDS status is changed automatically.

• When operating with the Filter Split/Combine Updates flag enabled, any items added to a split check in Activate X will appear in separate cells/chits on KDSX.

• InteractX cannot be used with Android 11 and newer versions. We are preparing a fix for the following release, IX 2.8.
