Connect

Feature updates:

  • With this release, Connect allows customers to use both the 'Terminal' and 'Printer' settings in all KDS Modes (Connect, Local, etc). This resolves the inconsistencies that we had in the past where specific options were not available in specific KDS Modes and caused orders to not display in the kitchen (or route properly. Connect will now provide messaging for required fields in each mode, and block the user from entering an IP address for the 'terminal' setting in Connect mode (where the IP address is not needed).

    • For Connect Mode the following rules apply:

      • Terminal setting:

        • The terminal selection is required for the KDS system to identify the type of order.

        • The 'Terminal' setting is defaulted and required by the system

        • IP address is not used and will be greyed out

      • Printer Setting:

        • This setting is optional

        • IP address is required if the 'printer' setting is selected.

    • For Local mode the following rules have been applied:

      • Terminal Setting:

        • This is the default setting, and an IP address will be required.

      • Printer Setting

        • When a printer is added an IP address will be required.

  • Layouts can now be adjusted to use 1-4 levels of hierarchy, and all title display values are now customizable.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that was causing orders with discounts over $1,000.00 to have errors and cause discrepancies in reporting.

  • Fixed a bug where Subvendor KDSX terminals were not getting the configuration to connect to Check Sync.

  • When NewMods are enabled at any level, customers can see and edit the Send To Kitchen setting when configuring Items. This setting prevents items from showing at the KDS (despite their vendor/sub-vendor assignment).

  • Hawking - Fixed a bug that was causing the hawker load to show four times the correct amount when the Hawker load is closed.

  • Fixed a bug on the inventory stand sheet that was causing the POS Sales and totals to not calculate correctly.

  • Fixed a bug on the inventory stand sheet pdf export that was showing zeroes ('0') for the count in, transfer in's, transfer outs, waste, comps, adjustments, and count outs. This was preventing the PDF copies from being updated.

  • Fixed an issue where the 'Auto-print itemized' flag was not being obeyed in Activate X and itemized receipts were not printing automatically.

  • Fixed a bug that was causing the 'Send to Kitchen' flag to be missing. This controls whether new modifiers are sent to the kitchen.

Reporting

Feature updates:

  • The Revenue CSV export now includes the amount tendered and change given for each cash transaction.

    • These two columns were added to the end of the output file.

  • An Excel export option has been added to the new Order Trends report in Analytics.

  • Sales Over Time. A new report to identify trends and patterns for items sold; giving insights into product performance and customer preference.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue causing the secondary and tertiary categories to not display on some Analytics reports.
