Now Rolling Out: Customer Facing Display v2.10 – Enhanced Tip Control

Hi Everyone,
We’re excited to announce the rollout of Customer Facing Display (CFD) version 2.10 throughout May. This release delivers greater flexibility and control over how tipping is presented to customers.

What's New in CFD v2.10?

With this update, you now have the ability to configure tipping behavior with more precision:

• Show or Hide the “No Tip” Option

  • Choose whether or not to display a “No Tip” option on the customer-facing screen, giving you more influence over the tipping experience.

• Configure Default Tip Selection Behavior

  • Decide if a default tip amount should be pre-selected—or opt to have no tip pre-selected at all. This allows for a more neutral presentation or stronger nudge, depending on your preferences.

These changes aim to balance customer choice with business goals, while staying compliant with best practices around tip presentation.

Rollout Timeline

The v2.10 update is already rolling out and will continue throughout May. No action is required—your system will receive the update automatically.

What You Should Do

• You’ll be able to review and adjust your tip presentation settings once the update reaches your site. Keep an eye out for the new configuration controls under your CFD settings.  You can find more information in this Knowledge Article.
