Important: Security Update for Givex Services – Action Needed by January 14
Dear Valued Client,
We want to let you know about an important security update that will help ensure the continued protection of your Givex services.
Recently, SSL.com acquired VikingCloud, our current SSL certificate provider, and will be retiring their existing security certificates. Unfortunately, this means we’ll need to complete another round of certificate updates—similar to the process you just went through.
We recognize how frustrating it is to repeat this process so soon after the last one. Please know that we share your concerns and are taking this step to strengthen your long-term security and stability. To help prevent this type of disruption from recurring, we’ll now be securing our systems through two major certificate providers—DigiCert and Sectigo—moving forward.
What’s Changing
The final cutover to the new certificates will take place on January 14, 2026.
Most clients will not experience any impact.
However, if your systems do not recognize the new certificates, your Givex services (including gift cards, loyalty programs, Uptix programs and GivexPOS) could be disrupted after that date.
What You Need to Do
To confirm whether your systems will be affected:
Download our Self-Test Guide now and run the verification steps after Dec 1.
Have your IT team or developers complete any required updates before January 14, 2026
Checklist for Your IT Team:
Please verify that you have installed the following certificates by January 14:
DigiCert Global Root G2
DigiCert Global G2 TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1
We also recommend that you install these certificates in the event that we must move to these certificates in future:
DigiCert G5 TLS RSA4096 SHA384 2021 CA1
DigiCert TLS ECC P384 Root G5
DigiCert ECC P384 Root G5
DigiCert RSA4096 Root G5
Sectigo USERTrust RSA CA
Sectigo USERTrust ECC CA
Sectigo COMODO RSA CA
Sectigo COMODO ECC CA
Digicert certificates can be downloaded here.
Sectigo certificates can be downloaded here.
