These are Pre-Release notes with the anticipated contents of a Global release targeted for March 24, 2026. There is potential for changes in the scope and timing of the release. We will send final release notes upon completion of the release.


The italicized updates denoted with a * were deployed to all customers on March 17

Quick Service POS v2.59.7

Enhancements:

  • E700 performance enhancements

  • POS barcode scanning is now supported on terminals with a compatible Zebra USB scanner

    • Requires a compatible Zebra USB scanner

    • Refer to Configuring Barcode Scanners for POS & Kiosk for instructions on setting up a scanner and compatible versions

    • Refer to SkyTab Venue: POS Barcode Scanning to configure items and POS terminals for barcode scanning functionality

    • During the configuration flow, there will now be a "Select Barcode Scanning Setting" screen after receipt printer selection for all menus; the functionality is disabled by default, so if you do not plan to use barcode scanning, simply tap Done on this screen, and your POS will continue to operate as it does currently

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where the POS would open to the orders list following an automatic sync from the PIN screen without a valid PIN being entered

  • Fixed an issue where a saved card authorization was being dropped from the order after navigating backward from the tip screen

  • *Fixed an issue where orders with large numbers of line items were not being successfully created on the POS

  • *Fixed an issue where a partial refund followed by a full refund on the same order

  • *Fixed an issue where the POS sales report was counting Incomplete orders


DataNow (No Version Update)

Enhancement:

  • *In support of the POS Summit feature, reports with a Device ID field will now also contain a Serial Number field. When a venue is configured for Summit, all devices will be identified by their Serial Number instead of a random Device ID.


Menu Manager v3.3.2

Enhancements:

  • Image management updates:

  • A 2 MB image size limit will now be enforced when uploading new images (revenue center, menu, item) in Menu Manager

  • For menus with a Mobile Order Ahead menu model, Order Ahead Hours and Order Throttling settings can now be configured in Menu Manager

    • To add or update these settings: Revenue Centers > Select Menu > Select Edit > Scroll Down to Hours > Select Order Ahead Hours tab

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where items would be removed from the menu when making menu changes under certain conditions

  • Fixed an issue where you could not unassign all items from a menu

  • Fixed an issue where the update was not being saved when unassigning one or more items from a tax group

  • Fixed an issue where menu merchant assignment was not working under certain conditions


Refund App v3.5.2

  • The Display Name of the venue will now be used in the venue dropdown instead of the "Internal" Name
