GivexPOS Release Notes 26.1

On June 10, 2026, the following new features and enhancements will be available on the Shift4 (formerly Givex) Portal. They will be available on GivexPOS on June 11, 2026. We recommend speaking with your Implementation Specialist before making any changes on the day of the release. Please refer to Givex’s release notes for more details.

Feature Updates: POS

NEW – Advanced KDS – KDS Colours by Department

To help your busy kitchen know what items are going where, we have added a feature to KDS to not only display the department an order is coming from but also assign it a specific colour. For orders where there could be different packaging based on the order type, this should help your kitchen staff identify not only what items they need to make but also where it’s going.

NEW – Support for Global Free Rewards

For clients using loyalty and GivexPOS, clients will now be able to use Global Free Rewards and issue them to their customer database. For reference, a Global Free Reward is a quick way to issue a reward to your customer database without having to go through the process of a bulk issuance which requires all member’s serial number. If you would like to learn more about how you could use a Global Free Reward, speak to your Implementation Specialist for more details.

NEW – Restrict purchasing a gift card with a gift card

We have added a new optional setting to prevent purchasing a gift card with with and/or loyalty money. Designed as an optional security improvement on the POS to prevent gift cards from being purchased using a gift card. If this is something you would be interested in applying, speak to your Implementation Specialist for more details.

NEW – Average Net Sales / Guest (Seat) By Server added to Operator Statistics on the POS

We have added additional data points to the Operator Statistics on the POS that will let someone check the average net sales by guest per server. If this is something you’re interested in viewing, you will be able to do so by going to the Manager Options>Performance Reports>Operator Statistics on the POS.

Feature Updates: Integrations

NEW – GivexPOS support for the Pax A6630/6650 all in one device via Shift4 Commerce Engine

We have been certified to use the Pax A6630/6650 all in one device for use with GivexPOS that will allow staff to take orders and payment all from the same device. If this is something you would be interested in using, speak with your Implementation Specialist. Note – This requires an account with Shift4 to use.

NEW – Improved processing of add-on group price rule logic

To help larger orders coming in via integrations, we have made an improvement to help with the handling of orders where there are many add-ons used.

NEW – GivexPay App – Receipts now showing tip

For clients using the GivexPay app, the final receipt print out on the payment terminal will now include the tip as a separate line item along with the total.

NEW – DoorDash – Discount improvements

To help ensure the customer sees the discounts they are receiving on their DoorDash order, we have made a change based off their spec that allows the discount value to be passed to us and noted on a customer receipt.

NEW – Brazil – Support for new Brazilian taxes – IS, IBS and CBS with NFC-e integration

For our Brazilian clients we have added support for IS (Imposto Seletivo), IBS (Imposto sobre Bens e Serviços), and CBS (Contribuição sobre Bens e Serviços) on with the NFC-e integration.  

Bug Fixes: POS

Positioning Template updates not showing most recent updates

There was an issue found where after making a change to a positioning template, if you were to go to the page to view the history of the changes made you would not see the recent change made. This has been fixed.

Round up total not correct when switching payment from Cash to Credit/Debit

There was an issue found where if you switched payment from Cash to Credit/Debit that the rounded up total would remain based off the cash total. This has been fixed to adjust the round up total if the payment has been switched.

SRM QR Code not displaying on receipts after vhub replacement

There was an edge case found where if a store needed to have its vhub replaced that the SRM QR code would no longer print on receipts after the replacement was configured. This has been fixed.

Order Summary not updating based on receipt set up for KDS specific print outs

There was an issue found when updating the receipt details for an order summary that they would not apply to KDS print outs. This has been fixed.

Interactive Performance Metrics Report not displaying department or day part when exported to Excel

There was an issue found with the Interactive Performance Metrics Report where when running the report by department and day part that these metrics would not display when exported to Excel. This has been fixed.

Sales Mix report slow run time

It was found that the Sales Mix report was taking longer to run than would be expected. We have made some changes to help optimize its run time.

Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) Scale Inspection Changes

Based off recommendations by the CFIA, we have made the following changes to our receipts when using weighed items:

-            Space added between @ and price – ex @ $60.00

-            Measurements will be noted in lower case – ex 0.56 kg
