Released On: 11 June 2025
Release Version: 25.1
Release Type: General
Content: New features and bug fixes
Feature Updates: POS
NEW - POS Orders Report
To help with internal processes and spot checking, especially as it relates to seat count we have created a new POS report that allows a manager to see a list of open tables at a glance along with other relevant details ex operator id, order id, bill id (if billed) and the seat count. You can then choose to print this report if needed. If you would like to use this report, it is accessible to managers in the Performance Reports option. In addition, if you would like to see a similar version for closed tables you can see this option from the Financial Reports option.
NEW - Quebec - Support for new Tipping regulations with Moneris
We have updated our integration with Moneris to ensure that tip options are based off the pre-tax subtotal of the order. For those using an online ordering site, the tip percentages are already calculated on the pre-tax subtotal so the only thing that may need to change is to remove a default tip % for your site. If any questions about applying this to your payment devices, speak to your Implementation Specialist for more details.
NEW - Brazil - Improvement to CPF entry when using Loyalty
We have made an improvement to the flow of orders on the POS and Kiosk whereby if the customer has entered their CPF number while being assigned to an order, we will now present an option to use the same CPF for the tax receipt. This should help to avoid double entry as well as being flexible enough to allow for a second CPF to be entered for tax purposes if necessary.
Feature Updates: OLO
NEW - Option to update Order Status
For clients using KDS and OLO our Order Status tracking page can keep a customer up to date on the status of their order as the process moves along in store. To help ensure the customer knows that the page won't auto refresh, we have added a refresh button on this page along with a note as to when the status was last updated.
NEW - Custom Fields in Account Registration
To help gather additional details about your customers creating accounts on your app, we have added functionality to allow for a client to have custom fields added to the sign up page. These details can then be pulled from the Loyalty Member report. Note - this option is limited to clients using Givex Loyalty in addition to OLO.
Bug Fixes: POS
Points not being issued on zero dollar orders
It was found that if you were using a SKU based loyalty set up and assigned a fixed point value to an item with a zero cost that the points would not be issued. This has been fixed.
Crash when priced add-on updated after discount applied
There was an issue found where if you placed an order that used a priced add-on, then applied a discount and then later adjusted one of the priced add-ons that this would lead to a crash. This issue has been fixed.
Points not issued to customers when paying with PATT and the order is autoclosed
An issue was found with the autoclose script that is used for autoclosing paid orders that prevented points from being issued on these orders. This has been fixed.
Quebec - Web SRM - issue with add-ons with leading spaces
It was found that if an add-on had a leading space in the name that this would cause an issue transmitting the add-on and would throw an error on the POS. This has been fixed.
Reporting discrepancy with voided add-ons and bill splitting
An edge case was found where if you placed an order for an item with an add-on, then later changed the add-on and resubmitted the order, then went to the bill splitting screen and moved the item from one seat to another that the original add-on that was voided would be noted in the Order Details report and cause a discrepancy in pricing in the Transaction Analysis report if the add-on had a price. This has been fixed.
Dispatch production area printing default add-ons when 'Hide Default Add-ons' setting is enabled
There was an issue found where default add-ons were still printing even when the 'Hide Default Add-ons' parameter was enabled. This has been fixed.
KDS Headers on Elo tablets too small
There was an issue found where when using Elo tablets for KDS that the font size of the headers was small. This has been fixed.
Bug Fixes: OLO/Integrations
UberDirect - Orders are not able to be booked when the special instructions exceed 280 characters
We found that booking orders with Uber would fail if customers entered special instructions that exceeded 280 characters. We have made a change to the special instructions page to limit the number of characters to ensure an order doesn't fail because of this.
UberDirect - Booking call not made if order placed before UberDirect is enabled
There was an edge case found where if a delivery order was placed and then UberDirect was enabled after the fact, that you wouldn't be able to book a driver for the order. This has been fixed.
