Feature Updates:

As you may have read, Shift4 acquired Givex in 2024, which will enable us to deliver new services, better support, and more. As part of this transition, Givex is rebranded as Shift4! With this release, our Portal will also reflect our new identity as Shift4. Navigation, reporting, features and functionality are unchanged - just updated to our new branding.

  • E-Commerce: API Integration to Enable Digital Gift Card on Mobile App.

    What It Does
    Modifications to existing API integrations will allow clients to automatically create registered user accounts or connect to existing accounts using the member's login. Registered users have a unique login associated with a card number and member profile. Storing the card number will eventually allow the app to be used as a wallet, giving users the freedom to process transactions and view account history. Additional API calls allow clients to run promotions and add e-cert incentives to member accounts. Available to E-commerce/Gift Card users upon request.     How It Used to Work: The integration is new and was not available.

  • E-Commerce:  New Integration to Samsung Pay

    What It Does
    Customers now have the option to download their e-certificates to Samsung Pay Wallet. The enhancement allows users to purchase from the device without needing a physical gift card. Speak to a Shift4 representative for more information.

    How It Used to Work: The integration is new.

  • E-Commerce: PayPal Gateway Integration

    What It Does
    We have updated our integration with PayPal, which will streamline the checkout process for customers buying gift cards on a merchant’s site. If a customer chooses to use PayPal, the transactions will be managed directly on the hosted site and not redirected to PayPal, resulting in a seamless user experience. We also enhanced security features with improved fraud protection to safeguard online transactions. Available to clients that offer PayPal as a payment option.

    How It Used to Work: Customers were redirected to PayPal, where they had to create a separate and unnecessary account.

  • E-Commerce: Save Credit Card Information for Future Payment 

    What It Does
    Registered users who reload their gift cards or purchase cards on your site now have the option to save their credit card information to their account for future purchases. The enhancement provides an uninterrupted transaction flow and makes adding funds to existing cards more convenient when needed. To manage payment, users can log in to their account, select payment options, select the card number and amount of the reload and click save. Customers can save their credit card number on the payment page to the account. Available to E-Commerce clients that offer account registration on their website.  

    How It Used to Work: The new improvement encourages repeat purchases and improves customer satisfaction.

  • Gift + Loyalty: Allow User ID Mapping in Portal 

    What It Does
    Moving a POS during an event to service high-traffic areas is not uncommon for sports stadiums and teams using Clover. Often, the requests are spontaneous and can occur outside of regular business hours. To assist, we are giving teams the option to map the user ID and set up the terminal in the portal so they can quickly relocate the POS to another location. Available to Clover POS clients using mapped user IDs. 

    How It Used to Work: Teams call Givex client services for assistance.

  • Gift + Loyalty: Shift4 Portal Rebranding

    What It Does
    We’re proud to be part of the Shift4 family; as part of the rebranding strategy, we’re happy to announce the transformation of https://gportal.givex.com to Shift4. Portal is a secure administrative website that allows users to manage their card programs, view reports and process transactions. The new site aligns seamlessly with Shift4 branding with the new logo, colour values and fonts. The site has no structural changes; therefore, navigating and accessing information as needed is still manageable.  Available to all clients with user access to the portal. 

    How It Used to Work: The portal site had Givex branding, colour and fonts.

  • Gift + Loyalty: Shift4 Analytics Tool Rebranding 

    What It Does
    In addition to the changes made to the portal, the Analytics tool was rebranded with Shift4 branding. Changes to colours, fonts and logos are reflected in the navigation panels and background. However, there are no structural changes to the site, so users can still view their favourite dashboards, run reports in real-time and experience the same functionality. Available to all clients with user permission to portal.  

     How It Used to Work: The analytics tool had Givex branding, colours and font.

  • Renner Brazil: Show Cashback Redemptions to SKU Transaction Reports

    What It Does
    Modifications to the SKU Transaction Report and the List of Transaction Report for Renner Loyalty programs will display the cashback redemption transactions for SKU promotion type 'Cash Bonus' for each merchant, regardless of how the cashback was issued.  When the loyalty administrator reviews a summary of all SKU transactions or SKU – LOT report, they can evaluate the performance of a promotion ID based on the redeemed cashback. Available to Renner Brazil. Speak to a representative for more information.

    How It Used to Work: The client was not able to analyze the SKU promotion performance.

  • Renner Brazil: Add + Remove Certificates to/from Certificate Group

    What It Does
    A custom script developed for Renner will help streamline the process of adding and removing certificate numbers to specific certificate groups in their system. Renner uses third-party software to segment their known and unknown customer data and create customer profiles. The software exports a file containing two columns: CPF number and Status. In the past, in order to format the file and add certificates to groups, the client had to manually edit the files to accommodate the administration tool. The newly developed script will help to significantly reduce the time and effort required to process the files. Available to Renner Brazil. Speak to a representative for more information.    

     How It Used to Work: Files were edited to fit the format of the administrative tool.

  • Renner Brazil: Enhanced Customer Cashback Bonus Report  

    What It Does
    We have added five optional fields to the Customer Cashback Bonus Report for Renner that will help them accurately calculate SKU promotion profits and the time the transactions were made. The new optional fields include the Total Purchase Amount, which calculates the total after discounts; Visit Date and Visit Time to identify when the transactions occurred; the Merchant Transaction Reference to identify cashback/redemption transactions; and the Balance Effective date to show points conversions and increments. Available to Renner Brazil. Speak to a representative for more details of the report.  

    How It Used to Work : Renner was not able to calculate SKU promotion profits accurately.

  • Renner Brazil: Enhancement to Cumulative SKU Promotions II

    What It Does
    Renner would like the ability to choose whether a SKU Discount can be combined with cashback redemption when creating custom SKU promotions.  To implement this for the client, we have added a checkbox that allows the client to enable a cashback redemption at the same time as the SKU promotion. For example, when creating an SKU Promotion, the client logs in to the Administrative Website > Loyalty Program > Settings > Loyalty Set-up > Promotion Set-up. From there, they can set up the promo to include the SKU Promotion Type (Discount) and the Percentage (10%) of the discount, then select Enable cashback redemption during the promotion.     How It Used to Work: This is a new development and promotion feature for the client.

  • Renner Brazil: New Field for Return Cashback Redemption Amount

    What It Does
    We updated API response call 968 for SKU Discount Request with an additional field that returns the Cash Bonus Redemption Amount per unit. The change will provide more clarity for consumers as it shows a breakdown of the SKU Discount and Cashback Redemptions they receive on their purchases. Available to Renner Brazil. Speak to a representative for more information.    

    How It Used to Work: This is a new development and promotion feature for the client.
