FINAL NOTICE: Required POS Update (Update: July 27, 2023)

As noted in our announcement from February 22, 2023, following a FreedomPay platform issue on September 18, 2022, they announced an end of life of their middleware as of October 10, 2022. As a result of this end of life, SpotOn updated several versions of ActivateX and InteractX builds and provided an initial timeline through the end of March 31, 2023, to update.

FreedomPay is taking a proactive step to ensure the security and optimal performance of their platform. They will begin to audit and block all traffic from any sites using versions no longer supported as of August 1st, 2023. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

We urge you to update to one of the below versions:

ActivateX

15.8.4.6.1

15.11.1.2

15.12.3

15.13.4+

16.x+

InteractX

1.22.4+

Samsung Handhelds

Please note that all Samsung devices will need to be updated as well, which requires updating each device individually. See instructions on how to update Activate Samsung devices. 

Final Notes

If you do not take action to update your applications, SpotOn will push a suitable update on or around July 31st to Elo devices. On or about July 31st, Samsung devices on an unsupported version will be removed from the MDM, making them inoperable.
