Content: Kiosk Offline Support for Belly Up Ordering, Various Bug Fixes
Enhancements:
Kiosks can now operate without a network connection while ordering from a “Belly Up” menu
Syncing functionality for offline Kiosk orders matches that of Concessions POS
Ordering from an “Order Pay Fulfill” menu will continue to be blocked while offline
When placing orders on a CFD with a network connection, the order will now get created in a Submitted state as soon as the attendant taps Card as the payment method, before adding gratuity and donation (previously it would not get created until triggering the card reader after adding gratuity and donation)
If a tab was started with an offline auth and is partially paid with a fixed custom tender, the auth can now be used to pay the balance when closing the tab
* Affiliation discounts will now be applied for affiliations containing a subtype
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where final payment tenders and amounts were incorrect on tabs opened with an offline card auth under certain conditions
Fixed an issue where an automatic software update on Kiosk was preventing the 30-minute idle sync from running
Fixed an issue on Kiosk where the user would sometimes receive an error after successfully scanning a ticket code if a previously scanned ticket had failed
Fixed an issue where a ticket could be double scanned on the A800 camera
Fixed an issue where, when searching for an item in a menu, all menu items would be displayed briefly before displaying the correct search results
Fixed various issues with charity items on reopened tabs
Fixed an issue issue where the auth amount was not being updated when adding gratuity or donation to a reopened tab
Fixed an issue where the order total on the donation screen was incorrect under certain conditions
Fixed an issue where the SAF batch upload was incorrectly being triggered during an idle sync while the card reader was offline
Fixed an issue where a Kiosk would switch to the Order screens following an offline sync
Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, the saved auth was not available in the tender list when paying the balance due after applying a scan tender
* Fixed an issue where refunds were failing for tabs under certain conditions
* Fixed an issue where tabs were not settling as expected under certain conditions
* Fixed an issue where kitchen chits were printing for orders with an auth failure
* Fixed an issue where Kiosk refunds would sometimes result in an error
Reminder Regarding Canary Releases
SkyTab Venue does gradual rollouts of POS software updates. After a software update has been fully tested internally, it will first go to a subset of Canary customers, before being deployed widely to all customers.
We are taking this approach to minimize risk and allow for additional testing in Production before deploying globally. Following the Canary release, our team will be closely monitoring performance for the customers who have received the update, and will react quickly if any issues are detected. If the release performs well, it will be deployed globally the following week.
The preliminary group of Canary customers has been coordinated with their respective Account Managers. Please reach out to your EAM if you are interested in participating.
