These are Pre-Release notes with the anticipated contents of a Canary release targeted for March 17, 2026 and a Global release targeted for March 24, 2026. There is potential for changes in the scope and timing of the release. We will send final release notes upon completion of the release.


Quick Service POS v2.59.7

NOTE: The updates denoted with a * are platform updates that will be deployed to all customers on the Canary release date. All other updates will be released to the Canary group first.

Enhancements:

  • POS barcode scanning is now supported on terminals with a compatible Zebra USB scanner

  • E700 performance enhancements

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where the POS would open to the orders list following an automatic sync from the PIN screen without a valid PIN being entered

  • Fixed an issue where a saved card authorization was being dropped from the order after navigating backward from the tip screen

  • *Fixed an issue where orders with large numbers of line items were not being successfully created on the POS

  • *Fixed an issue where a partial refund followed by a full refund on the same order

  • *Fixed an issue where the POS sales report was counting Incomplete orders


DataNow (No Version Update)

Enhancement:

  • In support of the POS Summit feature, reports with a Device ID field will now also contain a Serial Number field. When a venue is configured for Summit, all devices will be identified by their Serial Number instead of a random Device ID.
