Great news—our SkyTab POS Winter 2025 Release is rolling out soon! It brings a faster order flow, simpler check splitting, smarter tip tools, and convenient digital receipts to help your team move quicker during the rush.

What’s new for everyone (POS, Air & Glass)

• Order Entry Redesign: A cleaner, more touch-friendly experience to speed up service.

• Auto Split by Seat: Split checks by seat in a tap—no manual math.

• Centralized Tip Configuration: Streamline printer setup and consolidate tip management (see Manage Tip Hints on SkyTab POS).

• Digital Receipts on Customer-Facing Display: Offer guests an easy, paperless option.

• Pre-Modifiers: Add quick prefixes (e.g., No, Extra, Light) to modifiers for clearer prep notes.

New on SkyTab Air (only)

• Pre-Authorization in Order Entry: Find it in the kebab menu (⋮) on the Order Entry screen.

• Tip Hints + Digital Receipts: Guidance for guests and paperless delivery—now on Air.

• Flexible Split Options: Split checks by seat, by item, or manually.

• Equal Split from Ticket Manager: Divide the bill into equal parts in one step.

What to expect

• Optional the week of January 6th, 2026: The Winter Release will be available as an Optional update on your SkyTab POS.

• Required on January 13th, 2026: The update will become Required on this date.

  • Note: Enterprise merchants will receive the required update on January 20th, 2026

• For best results, keep devices powered on and connected overnight before your update.
