New for SkyTab Mobile (UK/IE): Pre-Authorizations available 18 November

We’re enabling card pre-authorizations (Pre-Auth) on SkyTab Mobile for merchants in the UK & Ireland starting Tuesday, 18 November 2025. Pre-Auth lets you open a tab and secure funds up front, then capture the final amount when the guest is ready to pay.

How it works

• Start a Pre-Auth:
  On SkyTab Mobile, begin from a new ticket or select a ticket from the list, open the menu (⋮), and choose Pre-Auth.

• Capture the payment:
  When it’s time to close out, open the ticket with the active Pre-Auth and tap Capture to complete the payment for the final amount.

Why use Pre-Auth?

• Keep tabs open without taking full payment yet

• Help reduce declines at checkout by verifying funds first

• Speed up closing time with a quick capture

No action is required on your side—the option will appear automatically in SkyTab Mobile.
